On Saturday we invite you to travel in time to practice cool moves from the 50's. Come and feel in your own body, how and why those dancers moved in a certain way. What does attacking the moment and surprising your partner actually mean, and how it creates unexpected dynamics.

Sadly, there are not so many people alive today that danced during the Golden Age of Tango and immediately after. As we know, the recording equipment was not so good and ubiquitous, so some things can only live on through the people that were there and their students.

In the first workshop of their visit to Zurich, come and learn about the most fundamental and difficult aspects of tango: your posture and your walking. In most evenings at the Buenos Aires Sunderland practica, held by Carlos and Rosa Perez, you will find world champions, professionals and amateurs alike practicing, after so many years, their walk.
In truth, the more you invest in understanding your body, working with it under the careful eye of good maestros, the more you shall receive in return. Everything else in Tango is built on this.
Born in Buenos Aires I grew up with Tango and since 2012 I am living in Berlin and Buenos Aires. As a DJ, whether I am playing digital music or original vinyls, it is very important to me that the dancers can hear the best possible quality of music.

Das UR-Tangoensemble spielt den neuen Tango-Stil, in welchem sich Urner Volksmusik und Argentinischer Tango gefunden haben. Die Kompositionen sind erstmals arrangiert für ein Sextett mit zwei Handorgeln, Bass, Klavier, Gitarre und Flöte.
Ein Konzert zum Hören und Tanzen.
